  • Little Rock’s Anne Pressly is in critical condition

This just in! I don't know if anyone has heard about the anchor woman who is in critical condition but it is really sad.  She was beaten and is now in the hospital.  The situation has left police and family puzzled.  Here is a bit of an article I found on it.

Police seek motive in attack on TV anchorwoman

Little Rock’s Anne Pressly is in critical condition: ‘Does not have an enemy’

"Popular and beautiful Anne Pressly, an up-and-coming Little Rock, Ark., news anchor, had dinner with a friend, talked about her small role in the movie “W.” and went home, where she exchanged cheery text messages. And then she was beaten nearly to death.

While the 26-year-old Pressly remains in critical but stable condition in a Little Rock hospital, her family, many friends and police are all trying to discover who would have attacked a person who is said to have had no enemies, and why."

Um...Ok not to be mean or anything but let's just say that maybe somewhere she pissed off the wrong person.  Or maybe someone didn't like her role in the movie "W".  I don't know but I'm just saying...she was severely beaten, purse stolen, and there was no sign or forced entry in her home.  So a robbery gone bad would be your first thought but then she would have had to know the person if there was no forced entry.  Who knows, for the woman who doesn't have any enemies she is pretty messed up.  Any Thoughts?

someone breaks into a house, beats a lady profusely, and only takes a purse? i don't know. i think if i was a "thief" and the homeowner was out cold, i'd steal more than just a purse, ya know?

but then again, maybe she just left a door open and then the person just freaked out and started beating and couldn't stop and then just grabbed whatever and took off.

people are crazy so there's no telling!

I'm going to take a pot shot here and say... jealousy.

It is possible that she reported something that angered someone.  It could have been an ex-boyfriend.  It could have been any of the things you mentioned.

I know it is easy to get into the trap of thinking that no forced entry means she knew the person but that isn't necessarily true, the attacker could be a locksmith or someone else skilled in picking locks or she might have accidentally left a door or window unlocked, or it is always possible (though highly unlikely) that the attacker broke a window and then fixed it after attacking her but before leaving (if you are good replacing a pane of glass only takes a matter of minutes for some windows).

It is sad that it happened though.

I definitely don't think that it was simply a random robbery.  I think that whoever attacked (and ultimately murdered) Anne knew who she was, though maybe not personally.  I think it is very likely that this was someone who had a dangerous obsession with her.  Regardless of the motive, we can be sure that she did not deserve what happened to her.
